The Hangover Part 2, Todd Phillips

I chose this movie because I thought the first Hangover movie was HILARIOUS. I could watch that movie over and over and never get sick of it. So when the Hangover Part 2 was released in May, I had to go watch it.

This movie is all about humor. The type of humor used in this movie is not for everybody, but if it is your type of humor, the two Hangover movies are the best comedies to every reach theaters.

Director Todd Phillips has done a good job in the past with movies like "Road Trip" and "Old School", but the two hangover movies are by far his best yet. He recently direction "Due Date" which was a lot like the hangover. Hangover star Zach Galifinakis is a big part of the reason the Hangover, Hangover Part 2 and Due Date were such huge hits in the box office.

The Hangover 2 is a sequel to the movie The Hangover where Doug throws a bachelor party for his wedding. This time, it is another bachelor party gone bad that makes this movie so great. This time, the film takes place in Thailand rather than Las Vegas.

This movie is similar to the other movies produced by Todd Phillips in that it is a comedy. Not only is it a comedy, but all of his movies have a plot containing a huge problem that has to be fixed, and sarcastic humor. Phillips' last three movies have all been about the same theme. In the Hangover and Hangover 2, the groom has to get to his wedding on time. In the movie Due Date, the husband has to get all the way across the country to see the birth of his first child. In each of the three movies, there are definitely some bumps on the way there.

This movie is important to our society because it can make us laugh. It takes two hours out of our day to just sit back and enjoy something. It also generated a lot of revenue which is important in our economy today. This movie also reflects a trend in our culture because bachelor parties do get crazy, and while the getting lost in cities and countries and losing your groom or brides brother is not common, it gives us a look at some bad situations and turns them into something comical.

There is no real target audience for the either of the Hangover movies, just anyone who wants to see a funny movie. There are stereotypes in the movie, like in the first Hangover when they make the black guy a drug dealer. In the Hangover 2, a stereotype is that in Thailand, there are a TON of transvestites.

The strengths of this movie are that it flat out will make you laugh. If you go to this movie and don't laugh, I believe you have no personality. I don't think this movie is just "good", but rather it is GREAT. The two Hangover movies will never be forgotten, and I hope that they continue to make sequels.

Everyone of my friends and family members find the Hangover movies to be hilarious. I would definitely recommend these two movies to anyone (although most people have probably already seen them).
